Sea Rocket   (left) is a member of the mustard family and has a sharp distinct flavour like a mild horse radish.  It is nice to nibble on good to add in salads

Orach  (right) of picture to the left is another delicious plant.  It is good to nibble on in salads or cooked like spinach.

Cow Parsnip
This stately plant commands attention.

Cow Parsnip is a member of the Carrot Family.  Some members in this family, (water hemlock) are poisonous. Unless you are familiar with edible wild plants it may be best to avoid the use of this plant's edible roots.

Left Photo
The large grass plant is fox-tail Barley and is found growing in many areas along the Yarmouth coastal regions.
The smaller plant is pineapple weed. Neither plant has much food value but the latter is sometimes used as an insect repellent.

Right Photo:
The beach pea is said to be edible but in large amounts it may be toxic. I have tried these.  Did not find them very tasty.
