Comments: My grandpa was Frank Churchill.  His mom was Carolyn Archer.  He was born in Yarmouth about 1867 and came to Alaska for the Boston Mining Company in 1898 from Boston, Massachusetts to stake gold claims for a Charles Churchill.  He died at Knik, Alaska in 1937.  I have been to Yarmouth once for a short visit and was unable to locate any family that might be decendants from his family.  He is in the book about Churchills but it ends with his siblings.  I would like to contact anyone who might be a relative of this Churchill family or might have more information about my grandpa.

Comments: We have a cottage in Carlton and visit Yarmouth quite often and really love it down there .But i have one thing to complain about and it is how inconsiderate the drivers are ,after shopping at Stars road shopping centre and trying to make a left hand turn ,becomes impossible ,drivers would rather go around you then let you out .  that,s my complaint ,for what it,s worth .

Comments: I love this place. It is one of the happiest memories I have. My father was born and raised there: Danile L. Surette. My Grandmere's house is still standing after all these years. I'll be back there in October 2003 to see it and smell the wonderful sea air again. (The Pacific Ocean just doesnt smell the same!)
