Comments: Hello! Curious! Can you grow dahlias successfully around Yarmouth? Here in Duxbury, Mass. several hundred miles to the southwest, most summers we can grow dahlias quite well, and the northern hours of summer sun are wonderful for them. Yet here it's still a hassle during unreliable spring weather when it's time to start the plants. Wondering if, despite your more northern latitude, the ocean would still play a much more compensating role in April - May. From Yarmouth, Neptune is to your **West and Southwest** . But way over here he resides to the **East**, and isn't much help when bitter Northwest winds ruin what might be our temperate April and May. Most of my Canadian dahlia friends are over in BC, a long country mile from both of us. Wondering how Yarmouth does is this regard. . . Regards, Tom Andrews

Comments: In 1936 I was born in a house on Parade street in Yarmouth next to the cemetery. While a baby I moved to the Village of Arcadia and lived there through the 1940s in a house on a hill overlooking the village. I would be interested in corresponding with anyone from the area. I would also like to have a picture of the old school house in Arcadia that has since been demolished. Thank you.
