like to explore all of the area. Nova Scotia is of particular interest,
especially for birding. The Tusket Islands are also intriguing, not
just for the lore of Outer Baldonia, but in general, and right now we are
trying to figure out exactly where they are from maps rather than description.
Hard to do online, but we'll keep trying. Thanks for your site, since

a C.Mom and Maxine were best friends in the fifties.Mom's maiden name was

lived on Bayview Park in Overton,Yarmouth. Maxine's mother's
name was Marjorie,she had an uncle Donald Muise.Maxine lived in town in
an apt.above the old Post Office where the CIBC bank is today.Maxine loved
dancing and went to the Roseland Ballroom. She also had two sisiters,
Barbara and Marilyn. Maxine also knew mom's sister Marjorie.
Mom said Maxine was very pretty,very blonde hair,and was a sweet natured
person, she also had two children, she was married to a sailor. Mom
would love to see her again,it has been probably fifty years.I have heard
from one person who knew her well, and went dancing with her. I was
so happy to hear from this person. I would be so happy to hear from
anyone who may have known her, or where she lives. Mom as she
won't give up trying to find her,a nd would travel anywhere to meet her

East Pubnico about 40 years ago when my dad (Maurice Skillen) worked at
Sealife Fisheries. My children have been asking recently about my time
in canada so this allowed me to give them a small insight of where I spent
my 7th and 8th Birthdays! It brought back some lovely memories--- maybe
some day I will bring them to Pubnico to show them for 'real' where I lived.

which we visited every summer - we lived in Pennsylvania. My father,
born and "raised" in Philadelphia loved Nova Scotia. I seem to remember
being in Tusket one time and reading that Benjamin Franklin's son lived
there about the time of the American Revolution - he was a Tory.
I also think something I read said that Tusket was named Franklintown at
one time - can't find anything on the web to verify this. Please
