My wife is descendant from James Durkee and Elizabeth Sarah Dennis. I was checking to find information on the Durkee Family Library as it contains an extensive genealogy of the family that is supposed to contain my children's names. James was born in Cherboque. R Date: 1/1/2007 Name: Nancy Neal Campbell Location: Richmond, TX E-Mail: ncampbell756@houston.rr.com, Comments: I recently received some information on our family history from one of my aunts (Myra Gray Neal Johnson)who, unfortunately, passed away a few months ago. My paternal grandmother was Veta Blanche Grey, born 10/06/1886 in East Kemptville. She married my grandfather, Archie Neal, on 8/12/1911 in Lynn MS. I never knew my grandmother, as she passed away when my father was only two years old. Since the Gray's were such a large family, I would imagine that there are still some living there. Can you tell me how I could find this out? Thank you. Date: 1/2/2007 Name: aurel mooney Location: milton highlands E-Mail: mooneyaurel@eastlink.ca Comments: doctors

Woody on the Argyle website. It certainly brought back
memories of the Argyles. I was born in Glenwood and
brought up in Argyle at what used to be called Frost

ferrying passengers from Yarmouth to the Club. I

They show up as living in Ohio, Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada in the 1881 Canadian Census. Here is what I know about them: My Great Grandfather WILLIAM H. CROSBY was born around January 1850 in Digby, Nova Scotia, and died between 1920 and 1930 in Massachusetts in the USA. He married LEILA A. THOMAS about 1875 in Canada. She was born around December 1854 (that may have been 1856) in Digby, Nova Scotia, and died after April 3, 1930 in Massachusetts in the USA. In the 1881 census of Canada WILLIAM H. CROSBY is listed as a farmer and a Baptist speaking English, living in Ohio, Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada. WILLIAM H. CROSBY’s middle name may have been HARRIS as his son; Ralph Robert Crosby named his first son William Harris Crosby. Ralph Robert Crosby was my Grandfather. There was a boy named Bradford Crosby about 3 years old living with them so he was born about 1878. He may have been their son and if so he may have died before they came to Massachusetts in the USA about 1890 as he does not show up in any US Census. WILLIAM H. CROSBY’s wife’s name is listed as LEILA A. (THOMAS) CROSBY. There are several variations of her name I have found listed in the various censuses, they are: Lealeah H.; Leila H.; Laheah; Lalia; Lalah N.; and Lillian N. Crosby There was also an ANNA E. THOMAS, age 16 in 1881 living with them, she may have been a younger sister of LELIA. Children of WILLIAM CROSBY and LEILA (THOMAS) Crosby,
born in Canada are: ii. ERNEST F. CROSBY, b. Abt. 1878, Yarmouth N.S iii. BLANCHE M. CROSBY, b. January 1880, Yarmouth N.S. iv. LETTIE E. CROSBY, b. September 1880, Canada v. ANNA M. CROSBY, b. July 1882, Canada vi. MYRA CROSBY, b. November 1885, Canada vii. HILDA CROSBY, b. January 1888, Canada They had other children but they were born in Massachusetts in the USA. Does anyone know of this family? Such as who were the parents of William and Lelia? Does anyone know of any relatives of this family still living in that area? I also noticed that your Mayor is a Crosby. Could he be a relative of mine? Thank you for any help that you can give me.
